A circus wagon that is an animal cage containing two bears; one black and one brown. The wagon is pulled by an elephant decked out in circus attire with a monkey in similar attire riding atop the elephant giving the impression that they’re pals. As I mentioned in the Condition Section of this ad, there are claims by others in possession of the same set that claim the set is from the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. I can neither confirm or deny this claim. There’s no logos or writing anywhere on the product to indicate that it was modeled after any particular circus company. Nonetheless, it’s an impressive nostalgic piece of collectible art weighing in at 28 lbs. The dimensions of the wagon are as follows: 24″ length x 14″ width x 18 height. The two bears are individually wrapped and placed inside the cage of the wagon surrounded by stuffing to hold them firmly in place. The wagon and elephant are wrapped separately to protect, but are packed within one box with the following dimensions: 24″ length x 16″ width x 26 height. Product is secured to prevent movement within the packaging by crumpled newspaper that is gently squeezed into the box. This squeezing in of the stuffing is to ensure that the 28 lbs. These details may seem odd, but owner is transparent in his disclosure. The owner’s parents, who were born in Europe and were the original owners, toured with the circus for many years; the father as a lion/bear tamer/performer and the mother, wearing splendid plumage, stood atop an elephant marching within a parade of elephants.
