Rare Antique Victorian Caged Circus Lions Print Figural Art & Crafts Oak Frame
This is an old antique original lithograph print done in sepia tone in its original oak frame from old estate. The frame measures 10 1/4″ by 8 3/4″ and image seen is 5 1/2″ by slightly under 4 1/4″. Reads Life Sentence on title plate. Under a loupe I see a couple light scuff marks on frame not worth noting. Possibly the gold gilt decorations have been regilded. This is a hard print to find. This is beautiful in person and in very nice condition.
Weird 1860s cdv photo dunce or clown & woman painted backdrop Circus Performer
Original CDV of a man wearing a dunce or clown costume… Wide striped pants, large pointed hat… With a baby’s shoe hanging down from it? The woman next to him is wearing a shawl and holding a parasol. Note that in the bottom-right the painted backdrop is torn and you can see through it. Photographer was Gustin of Troy, Pennsylvania. CDV is 4″ x 2.5″ and in very good antique condition, with light soiling. Boxed Priority also available. Circus oddities actors unusual rare costume.
