Huge Circus Poster, Woman Bareback Horse Rider, Cole Bros 1949. This giant approximately 5 x 6-ft lithograph poster features a female bareback performer balancing atop a white horse while bursting through a paper ring. Folds down into two separate sections, top and bottom. This large “wall work” would have been pasted on a barn or fence, like a billboard. Dimensions are 40 in h x 65.5 in w each of 2 sections. Folds down much smaller. Condition is fair, with creasing, discoloration, and stains and scuffs throughout. Please contact me with any questions before purchasing.

Something abit special here. This is part of an original hand painted master copy of a Mills circus poster, mid century, this is an artists proof that would have been the basis for the mass printing of this particular poster. There originals are virtually never found. I do have some more of these available. Please see the last photo. The price reflects the rarity and the fact that these are hand painted pieces of art. Great colour and content and wear just right for an authentic piece. Size is shown in the photos. Rare Original Portrait Photograph. DETAILS: Hard to find original photograph of a young Edith Ringling. Ringling was more commonly referred to as “Mrs Charles” when she took over ownership and management at Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus after the death of her husband Charles Ringling. Photographs of her from the early 1900’s are rare. Reverse has photo credits Barron Studios, West 46th St. Pinrted on heavy stock double weight photographic paper common at the time. Overall Excellent condition for this Original vintage Kenton cast iron horse-drawn Overland Circus Organ Wagon. This is a hard-to-find wagon in the series and very rare to find with original reins (except clasp). I feel the reins, sausage or barbell chain, and paint make this a premium example. The attention to detail on the reins system is impeccable. Beautiful and vivid original paint is roughly 90%++ there. There are a few chips and scratches here and there. Wheels under horses are fine.
