Original 1890s cabinet card of a clown, photographed by Elmer Chickering of Boston, Massachusetts. This was possibly the great George L. Fox, who was America’s first whiteface clown, or Hobart Dickinson, AKA “Gurgles the Clown”. Rare in any case! Dimensions are 6.5″ x 4.25″. Condition is good or better with foxing, as shown.
