These have a great look to them. The detailing is really beautiful. These have been kept in good well cared for condition. There may be some surface wear from age which is to be expected. Rare original cabinet card of George Williams, AKA “The Turtle Boy”, and his manager, or assistant. 6.5″ x 4.25″. Very good antique condition with a small pinhole at the top, slightly bumped corners. Oddities bizarre rare history sideshow circus barnum 1860s antique vintage.

Scarce pitch card – examples only show in two institutional libraries. Found in the estate of a 1930s circus promoter, there is no record for’Deacon James Finch’ nor do the details suggest that this is anything more than a stage name. Rather than the traditional pose w/a bible or in front of a congregation, Finch is noted only for height & weight in the negative. He is seated in a showman’s way, a precedent set by Barnum so many years before. Religion as the promoter’s gimmick to make Finch more palatable to a white audience is notable. Important Americana for that reason. Strong development & contrast on postcard photo stock w/ no back marks. Corner wear w/ink stain reverse that does not carry through.

RARE Original One-Of-A-Kind Antique 9th Plate Size Tintype Photo Medical Deformed Long Nose Baby Troll, Demon or Alien Circus Sideshow Freak Oddity. Baby doesn’t appear to have normal size arm limbs, if any. Baby’s face is slightly blurry but no movement distortion around the head. Appears to be a face of something, like a Troll or demon to the top left of the baby’s head. This tintype has some wear with scratches and tintype measures approximately 2 x 2 3/4 inches.
