This is one of the most handsome and genuine circa 1870’s Carte-De-Visite CDV photographs of an early Circus Sideshow and Dime Museum Fat Man. Although the man’s name escapes us, we believe he was one of the Oddity performers promoted by P. Barnum in his Museum on 14th Street in New York City. The contours and emulsion on the image are very nice. The pose is excellent. As is the facial expression. One of the best in our view. This is a rare early photograph from post civil war era America. It is in very good vintage condition with only some very minor light wear. The photo measures approximately 2 ½ x 4 inches.
