It is a vintage item that was made in the United States by Schoenhut, known for producing high-quality toys. The costume is original. It has a few small dark spots and two tears.

Antique Large Painted Cast Iron Lion / Tiger Head Possibly Circus Or Carnival

For your consideration we have a very cool vintage / antique painted cast iron lion or tiger head. This piece is large and heavy, weighing about 25 pounds. It has a place in the back where it would have been mounted somewhere. I cannot find any comparable items but the style and the mounting lead me to believe it was very possibly used in some circus or carnival of some sort. A super unique piece! In good vintage shape. The paint is still mostly intact. The back has one missing rivet where it would be mounted. Please see all photos for consideration as well. Measures about 10.5″ tall and 11″ wide. Very Rare, Unusual Antique “DOG HEAD” Carnival or Circus Cane/Walking Stick, With Nicely Made Ceramic/Porcelain Folk Art Grip, Wooden Handle, c. Scans show it all….. Very nice, great looking antique DOG HEAD CARNIVAL OR CIRCUS cane with fancy white/black ceramic dog head “folk art” DESIGN GRIP on a blue wooden handle. I have seen similar ones with elephant or dice head ceramic handles, but this is the rarer dog head. These were given as prizes for winning various carnival or midway gambling/skill games at circuses, carnivals or fairs. Measures about 34 from one end to the other. In excellent condition overall. It will be a great decorator, or a great addition to an antique cane or walking stick collection. Or a great addition to a circus or carnival collection. COULD ALSO STILL BE USED AS WELL, AND PROVIDES A GREAT, STYLISH, DAPPER, ANTIQUE LOOK!! Would make a great, prized, unusual gift! From my personal collection. A very nice, very unusual cane, both the ceramic top and the dowel wood shaft. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS!!!

Very cool tiger head salvaged from an old carousel ride in good condition for age and composition. Substantial size and heft, wonderful paint with a couple minor chips as shown and patina throughout. Could be antique but vintage at the least. Please use photos and zoom feature for most accurate condition. Measures about 12.5″ tall by about 12.5″ wide and about 10.5 deep from where it sits on the wall. Please get them approved before purchasing. Any questions must be answered before the sale.
