This offering is for an antique early 20th Century Five Piece Circus Costume. The suit is made of silk and consists of a tail coat, matching vest and matching pants. All three garments have the original makers tags that read HOOKER – HOWE COSTUME CO. The tag in the pants is also marked with the owners name “SPEC MOORE” and the tag in the jacket is marked as a size Small. Also included are the original carved wooden cane and weighted fake umbrella. Both have wear and losses to the paint from years of use and the handle of the umbrella has been taped at some point. Considering the costume is made of silk I think it’s survived very well. The condition is very nice with typical wear as seen in our close-up photo’s. There is a bit of fraying to the silk on the lapels and the covered buttons. The red stripes on the pants have a bit of fraying as well. Other than as noted there are no tears or repairs.
