Antique Schoenhut Humpty Dumpty toy, dated about 1900. Very cute wooden circus clown with 2 part head with beautiful original clothes, all original paint. Length approx 7.8. In good used condition for age with minor age wear, no cracks, no repairs. All original paint with few tiny rubs. The happy clown still has his ears. Stringing is ok for age, of course not as firm as it was 100 years before. The original clown dress shows traces of age, old stains, no odours. Antique wooden Schoenhut Humpty Dumpty circus toys, dated about 1900. Beautiful collection with rare accessories and cute monkey. Size monkey approx 7.8″, diameter wood ripe approx 3.9″, length wooden lance approx 6.1″, blue & yellow podium height approx 2.7″, height octogonal black podium approx 1.1″, height white podium approx 2.7″, diameter red artist platform approx 2.1. The antique Schoenhut accessories are wonderful for your early Humpty Dumpty Circus, it makes a lot of fun to decorate with this cute items. The accessories are original painted and in very good condition with fery few traces of use (tiny rubs). The monkey is beautifully painted and very expressive. He was loved by his children, his joints are loose, however he can stand on his own if placed carefully. His original antique clothes show age wear (holes, felt loss), no odours, from non-smoking home. Monkey without cracks, no chips, no repairs, original painted, his back shows colour loss. From what I can find out this is a very rare example of a toy set circa 1910s. Comes in original box which is tatty and torn, but still nice to have, and I think adds to its charm. Full size Schoenhut Humpty Dumpty Circus tent, circa 1920’s. Tent is muslin with flags of all nations strung across the front. Acrobat rings and trapeze bar hang from the top. Wood base is 36″ x 24″ and has a wood circus ring. Tent was made to collapse into this base for storage. Paper labels of’Humpty Dumpty Circus’ on 3 sides of base, 2 of these labels almost gone and front one missing some paper, but still legible. Holes in the tent as pictured and the red curtain is completely torn on the bottom left side and torn on the right side. Not sure if that slit in the back is original or not.
