Very seldom found, cute, 15 tall, handmade, CIRCUS CLOWN FAMILY group of four cloth dolls as designed by doll artist, Edith Flack Ackley’s. Book, “Dolls to Make for Fun and Profit”. This adorable group of dolls have perfectly embroidered features, thick curly, yarn hair, long slender arms and legs and is dressed in their original vintage cotton, printed costumes. These dolls were also originally designed and sewn from kits advertised in the November 1934 issue of. The Woman’s Home Companion. Magazine and are in very good condition. Due to the fact that these dolls are made of fabric and were popular, Depression era, play things, they are getting harder to find. They have no holes or tears, fading or odors and are from a smoke free home. See a similar model doll that was featured for, ” A Little Girl’s Christmas “, 1939, “Woman’s Home Companion” ad.
