Oversized wooden mallet made in the early 20th century for the fairgrounds for the strong man attraction. The heavy wooden mallet is believed to be made of a hardwood possibly oak. The mallet is a great curiosity object and a great talkative piece for the home. Would look fantastic hung on the wall. Age related wear to it, but over all in good condition. Measures: Length 117cm, Width 30.5cm, Depth 24.5cm.

An Early 20thC Hand-Painted Fairground Sign; Children’s Joy; c. Origin: English Period: Edwardian Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1910 Width: 31.5″ Height: 6.5″ The decorative hand painted fairground, sign designed to draw in the crowds at fairgrounds in the early-twentieth century, sign written with the words Children’s Joy, in green with yellow highlights and shadowed in orange, the whole being an early example of fairground and circus memorabilia. Suspended from two corner holes, the panel has paint flaking to several areas and scuffs commensurate with age (it was of course part of a travelling troupe) but structurally it is sound. The wording suggests this sign was advertising any number of attractions. A decorative gem, and an early example of its type, encompassing all the fun of the fair with particularly nice sign written script. Antique Childrens Fairground Ride Chairs, Heavy Iron

These chairs have heavy cast iron bases and frames with wooden seats and backrests. They are all slightly different but approximately 59 cm tall. They have multiple old paint layers and are currently an eyecatching custard yellow colour. Price is for one chair, please examine all the photos.

This is part of an original hand painted master copy of a Mills circus poster, mid century, this is an artists proof that would have been the basis for the mass printing of this particular poster. There originals are virtually never found. I do have some more of these available. Please see the last photo. The price reflects the rarity and the fact that these are hand painted pieces of art. Original Antique Fairground sign art from Carters Steam Fair themselves. Also multiples if needed for restaurant / bar fit outs etc. This is a stunning hand painted Carters Steam Fair panel depicting an RAF Bomber regiment which was bought direct from Carters themselves. The panel is around 40 years old and was hand painted by the incredible artist Anna Carter from the Carter family. It’s off the chair-o-plane ride and has since been replaced by a newer panel so this one can be saved, hence this is now for sale. Dimensions – 137.5 x 96 (at widest point) x 2.5cm. This unique piece comes from the Carter family’s private collection and comes with a letter of authenticity to prove the provenance.
