The previous owner of this clown costume wore it in the Shrine Circus in the late 40s through 1950s. This Circus clown costume, features two-pieces, a hat and polkadot suit. A unique piece of vintage men’s clothing that captures the whimsical and fun-loving style of the era. Jointed wooden Dog manufactured in the 1900s by the Schoenhut Piano Company as part of the “Humpty Dumpty Circus” collection. Made from carved wood with original hand painted finish, articulated joints and head. The dog is 5 ½” tall and 8″. The dog is in good condition with normal wear consistent with age and use.
Really gorgeous The Rochester oil satyr, devil, mythology oil lamp. In amazing condition considering its over 100+ years old. Only brand I see on the lamp is The Rochester. Item is in non working condition and. Great for decorum or repain if desired for use. Lamp is definitely from before 1892 as after 1892 The Rochester lamp company switched manufacturers and started marking their lamps “New Rochester” where as the pre 1982 lamps where marked “The Rochester ” see last photo for article clipping regarding year. Very rare, I can not find info or another one remotely like it with the satyr/devil handles! Please see photos for complete condition! Lamp measures roughly 9in tall by 9 in wide! Rare antique Overland Circus Wagon Cage pull toy, ca. It is a cage cart that contained a polar bear (bear is missing), drawn by two horses that had two riders (both riders are missing) and a charioteer who holds a metal chain in his hands connected to a horse harness. This toy was hand painted and has all original paint – although worn, chipped away from age and use. The wagon cage is missing the bottom, top and back pieces. The toy is unmarked, but it is presumed to be made by Hubley. Total length from the ears of a horse down to the wheel measures about 14″ length, the cage is 6″ total height, the sitting man measures 8 height all the way to the bottom wheels. The cage itself measures 8″ length and 2-3/4″ width. Each horse is about 6 length.
