Part of one of the hardest to find Nomura Toys sets. Art, Jewelry boxes, etc. And a Fine collection of Native American Jewelry. The NT toys or Nomura Toys Traveling Circus set is nearly impossible to find in any condition. (to be sure they actually have the item). This is the Carousel truck, and in rare good looking condition. It is 8 1/2 inches long, 4 1/2 high and 4 inches wide. Made of tin plated steel, with rubber tires, It is a well made toy that has lasted well over the years. I took lots of pictures to show all the flaws, I do not want to misrepresent this item. Mechanically the friction drive works, the right wheel works the drive, the left is slightly loose on the axle. (a couple taps on the axle to pein it down more would tighten it) This was a semi common issue even when new. When pushed the rear wheels are supposed to spill the carousel, and ring a bell, this does not work. When spinning the rear wheels you can see the carousel spin sometimes, but at most it does a half revolution. And it does not trigger the bell to ring. I do not know where the issue lies here, but I do not want to take it apart to find out. Please check out my other auctions I have a lot more Tin Litho toys, including another piece from this set.
