We do our best to describe each item in detail and provide pictures that feature any defects or issues that we are aware of. We are not experts, just collectors and we welcome questions and comments. Here is a pair of antique Schoenhut wooden circus elephants and two chairs. They have two painted eyes. One elephant shows more wear and loss of paint, both are missing their trunk tips. Both have good, tight joints. The chairs are in solid condition, one shows more wear and loss of paint than the other. This is nice old stuff. Other buyers, please let us know if you would like an invoice. The calculator is usually right on, based on the size and weight entered. Schoenhut made these figures between 1903 and 1935. These guys need a lot of love. All the pieces of the figures are there, but need to be re-strung. There is moth damage to some of the clothing.
ANTIQUE WOODEN SCHOENHUT HUMPTY DUMPTY CIRCUS TWO ITEMS, LION TAMER AND DECORATIVE PEDESTAL IN NICE ANTIQUE CONDITION. THE LEGS ARE TIGHT AND IT CAN STAND EASILY. DIMENSIONS: LION TAMER 8 1/2″, PEDESTAL 4 1/2″.
Really nice version of an antique showing hut circus Billygoat. His legs neck and head are all jointed. He has his original black and white paint. The eyes are glass and inset. His beard, tail, horns and ears are all leather and show wear as pictured. One ear mostly missing. In his comfortable position he measures 8 inches long and 7 inches tall. This is an antique out of an estate. I believe it to be from the 1920s. I tried to show from all angles, so nothing is hidden.
