COWELL LTD, IPSWICH circa 1954. As indicated above, this poster is in Very Good condition. Edge and corner wear, tears, creasing, crinkling; some scattered soft creases in image; some paper toning/yellowing, consistent with age; few stain spots bottom right. It was in the possession of one family since its creation in the 1870s (the “Minnie” whose name appears on the photo was the great-grandmother of the woman who recently passed away, from whose estate I acquired the CDV). 1855 was a world-famous trapeze artist and circus legend – look her up and you will be impressed with the many feats that made her famous. This is a VERY RARE photo, and few ever come up for sale. I’ve protected the original in an acid-free clear sleeve.
