This is a listing for a vintage wooden folk art ferris wheel. This piece was part of the circus series. It was hand crafted and hand painted. It measures approximately 15-1/2″ wide by 4-1/2″ deep by 17-1/2 tall. The folk art circus ferris wheel is a wonderful example of craftsmanship and details of an by-gone era. It would be a handsome addition to any folk art/circus collection. It is in excellent condition with no damage and is also in very good working order. Wolf Creek Woodworking was a family owned toy factory that manufactured wooden toys and other primitive wooden art objects in the late 1970’s through the mid to late 1990s. The factories were located in Beaman and Eldora, Iowa. The Wolf Creek Woodworking company was noted for employing mostly retired area natives known as the “Elderly Elves”. These Grandpas and Grandmas hand built a variety of solid wood, primitive and folk art objects. The “Elderly Elves” worked diligently to provide wood-crafted folk art objects and primitive wooden pieces that could be used and cherished for generations. Most of the pieces are signed by the artist who crafted and painted each individual piece. We have a small amount of the remaining inventory, and many came from the personal collections of the original owners. Please view the pictures / scans.
