Unusual Vintage flapper circus theatre costume dress labelled Bryant And Raikes. This came from the estate of an old lady along with other dresses from the 20s and 30s. Doing a bit of research Bryant and raikes were a theatre costume maker originally active in that period. In lovely rayon striped fabric (that makes it look almost modern) and blue silky cotton fringing (2 layers on the skirt) with metallic gold lamè trim. In good condition – small patch of thinning of the fabric near the bottom (hidden by the fringing) pics to follow and small section (couple of cm) of fringe missing from the skirt, bit of fading which I really like.
