Beautiful Antique Circus Exploding Clown Paddle. There would be a small charge placed in the backside of the paddle. Clowns would entertain the crowd by spaning each other creating a loud “boom” when charge was ignited from the ctontact on the front side of the paddle. Great piece for a circus / carnival colletcot. Wood shows wear / scratches from use. Leather is worn but still tightly bound. See pictures for a few missing button covers and slight tear at base of left side of paddle.
