It was in the possession of one family since its creation in the 1870s (the “Minnie” whose name appears on the photo was the great-grandmother of the woman who recently passed away, from whose estate I acquired the CDV). 1855 was a world-famous trapeze artist and circus legend – look her up and you will be impressed with the many feats that made her famous.
