A fascinating and unusual vintage folk art sculpture of a woman riding a man, fixed inside a rolling wire wheel. The man and woman are made of wood, the man’s legs are a thin metal, the woman’s hair appears to be a patch of animal fur. Paint is still vibrant although suffers some loss. The sculpture will roll but not in a sophisticated manner, when it does roll the man’s legs appear to move. It’s a wonky whimsical piece with a Calder, Chagall, David Lynch vibe. Measures approx: 10″ in diameter x 3″w In good/fair vintage condition, some paint loss, construction is rudimentary, some dust – see photos. Artist signed on the back of the woman’s head, dated 1985. One of a kind statement piece for sure! 10″ in diameter x 3″w. In good/fair vintage condition, some paint loss, construction is rudimentary, some dust – see photos.
