The wonderful albino family 1860s lithograph by currier & Ives framed around 15″x20″ Barnum & Bailey. All are guaranteed old and authentic. You have the dimensions so have at it. Kar-Mi (1916) without frame measures 80×40, w frame 85×45. Has cardboard backing and show some tears holes and staining. Philion: (1899) measures 31×44 without frame and 57×45 w frame. Small tear on border. Snyder Bros: (1906) 39×52 – many tears and issues. But displays well w the patina of age. Barnum & bailey terrific decent (1909) 39×50 overall very clean but has wear w age. Carter the Great worlds wonderful wizard (1920s) 14×22 – no frame but has Matt. Carter beats the devil (1920s) 14×22. No frame it has mat. 2-Antique Circus Wagon doors measure 19 3/4 x 71 1/4 each. Each weigh around 40lbs. The patina is amazing and the bars are solid iron, possibly for an animals? Slide bars can lock from either side. All have flaws and are very old. Boards – very secure, back cover has some light wear [normal for its age]. Pages very secure. Back one very good- front one was split apx 4 and glued back down to prevent further splitting. Spine ends – a worn. Good – front bottom one worn through. Inner hinges – this book has had some repairs – looks like a while ago someone added new endpapers & paste-downs, making both cover secure, but ait springs open to the contents page. Pages – generally pretty clean, but 2 pages with black marks [shown]. Writing/coloring – someone has colored: 8 lips, 1 just the hair, and 11 others that have more than 1 thing on them colored. 20 of the 180 pictures have been colored – either a little or a lot. Plus dark pencil to the face of one of the colored pictures -shown #10 hope I counted them all! Rips /folds – 2 small rips, I didn’t see any bad folds – plus one small bit of corner missing not affecting any text [shown with orange paper]. Missing the colored frontis – a solid & very rare book with a few mishaps! A FANTASTIC ONE FOR YOUR LIBRARY! Please Add me to your Favorites list. AND check back now and then to see what’s new! Cirque Ancillotti-Plège En ce début de 20 ème siècle le cirque Plège était lun des meilleurs cirque Français et principal concurrent de Theodore Rancy. Antoine Plège dirigea le cirque à son nom jusqu’à la fin de ces jours en 1898, sa veuve en repris la direction et en 1902 céda les rennes de létablissement à son fils André qui le dirigea jusquen 1909. Cest la dernière fille de Antoine Plège, Lucie qui épousa après la mort de son père lacrobate cycliste Ugo Ancillotti. En 1908 ils créèrent le cirque Ancillotti-Plège, un cirque music-hall sans chevaux. La guerre arrêta lessor de ce métier qui présentait dexcellent spectacle. En 1920 Ugo Ancillotti tenta un nouveau départ en association avec les frères Court, mais, en 1925 malade il ne désira plus voyager. Circus Ancillotti-Plège français At the beginning of the 20th century the Plège circus was one of the best French circus and the main competitor of Theodore Rancy.
