Hamilton’s Baby Plate Born 1884 , Died 1942. This is the plate with the chip I have taken a photo of, the chip is located on the backside of the plate under the letter H. The other plate has no defects other than typical darkening found in soft paste porcelain piece from this era. Both are wet impression stamped ELSMORE & SON. ENGLAND on the back side. The word England in the impression backstamp positively identifies these as pre-1891 in it’s manufacturing date. Fantastic early piece a jewel for any transferware collector!
