Pair of Horses with Intricate Details, Hand Carved. Just being honest these are very old. I don’t know if they are bone or stone. On the horse that has her head bowed on her right side blanket there is a small place that looks like a chip but due to the coloring it had to have been done during the carving.

Rare Antique Pair German Pink Pig Clown Miniature Bisque Circus Figurines Toys

Awesome Antique German Miniatures. A really sweet and special set of turn-of-the-century German bisque miniatures. Two circus clowns and their pink pig partners entertain the crowds. From our own collection and not easy to come by, especially as a pair. Head is re-glued on standing clown, hard to see without a loupe, you can enlarge the top photo to see it, not apparent on display. Possibly made by Hertwig, Heubach, Schafer Vater or some similar fine German bisque toy and doll maker of the early 20th century. These beautiful little bisque pieces were actually circus toys for children in the early 1900s. Many of this type were cold painted and the paint wore off over time, but on this fine little pair the paint is fired on and so it is still in excellent shape. Many of these little bisque toys didn’t survive over the years. This pair was passed down to us and has been sitting in a cabinet forever and a day, safe and sound. Having a drink after work!
