Due to his Jewish roots he fled Germany at the onset of WWII, relocating to England where he would begin the second stage of his career focusing on fashion images and the female nude. High quality offset lithography combined with a special clay coat gloss paper produced a print that was designed to closely approximate Glass’s silver gelatin prints in look. Glass’s distinct and extraordinary female nude studies are rare in any vintage form whether photo-chemical or photo-mechanical.
