THIS SALE IS FOR ONE FIGURE ONLY. This captivating, entirely hand-sculpted ceramic figure of a daredevil male basset hound leaping through a hoop from one star spangled riser to another is signed Blair 1993 and measures 8 tall x 3 1/2 x 10 and has an irresistable charm. Largely self-taught, for over 40 years he produced whimsical, hand crafted figures for friends and family. Dogs were his favorite subject (he knew these from the ground up as well: he and his wife were obedience trainers/ companion dog trainers) and he imbues them with the joy and personality that only one who loves dogs can fully appreciate. Offering is lot of 5 Pirrot figurines. They all are musicians playing insturements. Hand painted with nice facial details. None have’Germany’ stamp but all of them have number of their molds incised on their backs. 2 are In very good condition, no chip or crack, which are the ones playing trombone & guitar. The 3 has chipped on: The drummer, the right stick broke off. The cello man has the cello top broke off. The trumpet man, the trumpet rim is chipped, last picture. The Saxophone man is 2 7/8 tall.
