This captivating, entirely hand-sculpted ceramic figure of a daredevil male basset hound leaping through a hoop from one star spangled riser to another is signed Blair 1993 and measures 8 tall x 3 1/2 x 10 and has an irresistable charm. Largely self-taught, for over 40 years he produced whimsical, hand crafted figures for friends and family. Dogs were his favorite subject (he knew these from the ground up as well: he and his wife were obedience trainers/ companion dog trainers) and he imbues them with the joy and personality that only one who loves dogs can fully appreciate.
