He comes dressed in his red, white, and blue striped top with a red and white ruffled collar and matching tall clown hat with multi-colored pom poms. He is still sealed in his original plastic bag! He comes from a Limited Edition exclusive to the USA of only 5,000 Clowns which were produced only in 1987. Attached to his chest is the yellow and red Steiff round paper tag with the serial number “1970” hand written on it. I believe he is the Circus Clown Train Driver. He has his metal Steiff ear button and a white cloth tag that states, “Steiff KNOPF IM OHR, 0163/20″ and on the back, Made in Germany, COLL. Attached to his clown outfit is a paper tag that states “Fur immer Dein” (Yours Forever) paper tag in multiple languages. This Steiff Clown teddy bear shows no wear at all. He has never been played with or displayed. He comes from a smoke free, pet free environment. This unique Clown teddy bear is so cute and is a wonderfully shelf sized bear ready for display! This will be the perfect gift for a Steiff teddy bear lover. I have 220 different models of Steiff teddy bears, so I will be posting a lot more as I get them photographed and written up.
