This is a whimsical and intriguing Antique Mid Century Modern Outsider Surrealist Art Brut Oil Painting on canvas, depicting a troupe of circus performers. The figures are depicted with conical hats, blank faces, and wearing a variety of colorful and patterned clothing. Several performers carry small pennant flags, and one holds a large striped ball. This work appears to be unsigned, but perhaps you recognize the artist or their work? This piece approximately dates to the 1960’s – 1970’s. Good condition for age, with some light soiling at the bottom edges, light scuffing and edge wear.
