Vintage colorful circus hanging quilt hangs on the ceiling Unique 72 X 72. This is such a wonderful and unique piece. I have never seen anything like it before. It is like you are in a circus tent with the colored flags (triangles) hanging down. It was very hard to get the pics to understand how it works and I could not get the entire piece in any one pic. I did get pictures of the flaws -see pics. It has loops to be able to attach to ceiling.

This OUTSTANDING cotton 30’s crib quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, hand embroidered accents and details circus animals and balloons. It measures 33″ X 46″ and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots (the most visible one is on the back) and no wear. There are straight line and grid designs quilted throughout at 7-8 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the edge is machine stitched, and the batting is thin. I have been collecting quilts for 40 years. None of our children or grandchildren are interested in them, so we have decided to sell some of those that we arent using. It is hand appliqued and hand quilted. The border has scalloped edges, and there are images in the quilting of horses, elephants, bears, etc. There are loose basting stitches inside of these animal images. There is some fabric loss, particularly to the beige colored fabric. There is some foxing, spotting and yellowing. The primary colors are blue, brown, pink, purple and green. It measures approximately 46 X 64. This quilt displays well – it would make a beautiful wall hanging for a childs room. Vintage 30s Applique Circus Carousel Baby Crib QUILT Such Detail! This wonderful pattern was advertised in a woman’s magazine in 1936 and 1937 by Needlecraft. Soft white background with light green. Wonderful pattern with a center Carousel and children riding the beautiful horses. Nicely hand quilted at 6-7 stitches per inch. Visible blue pattern marks, this one was expertly completed and never used. Stored safely away for over 80 years. Flower and leaf border quilting designs. Beautiful hand appliqued and hand embroidered details. Measures 54″ x 38″. In near mint condition with one small tan spot and a couple tiny missing embroidery spots that are hard to notice. Wild American Flag Circus Crazy Quilt Barnum & Bailey Pennant Dated 1909

ANTIQUE CRAZY QUILT w BARNUM & BAILEY PENNANT DATED 1909 & AMERICAN FLAG. This is a very unusual Crazy Quilt as it has a felt pennant with the words “Barnum & Bailey’s Greatest Show on Earth 1909″ in salmon colored felt with glued on glitter. It’s HAND PIECED by several different hands using cotton, silk, velvet and wool fabrics in various shapes placed in blocks with cotton fabrics as backing. Each piece is surrounded by Turkey Track stitching in different colors of embroidery floss. Several pieces have florals, and one piece has a small silk American flag attached with French knots. Many of the pieces have the initials of the makers. The edges of the quilt have treadle sewing machine stitching, but there is no binding, and a few velvet pieces have damage. The size is 86″ by 80″.
