Unusual gilt bronze Victorian begging dog with articulated bowler hat and on base. Nicely detailed figure with textured coat and little glass eyes. The head is attached to the hat and fits loosely in the body of the dog. Lifts up so could be an inkwell or match holder. Size is approx 9cms height. Weight approx 260gms so quite a solid piece for size.

Features early 70s style dagger collar, perfectly matching chest pocket and original silver metal buttons with horizontal button holes. No marked size but appears to fit closest to a men’s large. Light brown with black and white images of clown tightrope walkers–at least this is my best interpretation of these images! Fabric covered button-up front. Snaps at waist and top of bodice. Fabric covered matching belt. Fabric looks like raw silk. Very good condition overall with the exception of two small spots on skirt as pictured–with the irregularities inherent in the fabric design, IMO, they are not particularly noticeable when the dress is worn unless upon close inspection.
