RARE One Of A Kind Eli Bowen Circus CDV Pullman Brothers Museum Cincinnati




This CDV features a rare image of Master Eli Bowen, a famous circus performer in the late 19th century. The image is a black and white matte finish and measures 3 x 4 inches. The CDV is an original one-of-a-kind piece and is part of the Pullman Brothers Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio. The photograph was taken in 1870 and is a prime example of a Freak Show Star. It is a first edition and features Eli Bowen and his wife Mattie Bowen in a portrait orientation. The CDV is made of cardboard and paper and is unframed. This vintage photograph is an excellent addition to any collection of circus memorabilia or antique photographs.

1890 cabinet card showing a miniature sideshow or circus, titled, “Barnum Miniature Show” in period ink on the mount. Great detail, showing patrons standing in line for a freak museum, that is decorated with several great, readable sideshow banners.. Albino woman, strong man, and more. The mount has been trimmed or rounded down to 6″ x 4.5″, though the image itself is not affected. The image is in good or better antique condition with light surface wear….
