Antique Circus Top Hat and Brown Leather Top Hat Box. The Hat Box has a brass plaque. There is also a brass lock with missing key. The leather box is lined in faded pink silk. The black silk top hat was made in Piccadilly London. It was in a trunk with lots of other circus costumes from the 1930’s. The ribbon and feather is later in date than the hat and box and was probably decorated for a show. I added the leather Chanel rose when I wore to a fancy dress party. The inner circumference around rim of hat is 54cm. The condition is very worn with fading and some small holes. I think this just adds to the decadent circus performer look.
