I have had this case for a number of years and it still makes me smile when i look at it , Because its a very natural looking scene with amazingly detailed Enamelling. A very solid case it weighs 172 gr on my kitchen scales and measures 11cmx9 cm it has no dents and the hinges and clasp work perfectly. Sorry about the camera blur on the hall mark it is clear unlike my picture. It was made by HB&S Birmingham 1949-50 comes unpolished as I prefer it like that. A MOST INTRIGUING ANTIQUE c1920’s CARNIVAL OR CIRCUS (POSSIBLY SIDESHOW) DISPLAY CASE MADE OUT OF WOOD AND FEATURING A MIRRORED BACK WITH THREE (3) GLASS PANELS THAT SLIDE IN FROM THE TOP AND WAS LIGHTED AT SOME POINT IN TIME. THERE ARE TWO (2) TIERS OF GLASS SHELVES THAT GO WITH THIS BUT ONLY ONE (1) IS SHOWN IN THE PICTURES. THERE IS ALSO A GOLD FINIAL THAT RESTS ON THE TOP OF THE COVER. WE HAD TO INSTALL AN LED LIGHT UNDERNEATH THE TOP BUT WE SAVED THE ORIGINAL LIGHT AND HOUSING. WE JUST PLACED THE NEW ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER AS THEY DO NOT MAKE THE TYPE OF LIGHT BULB ANYMORE NEEDED TO MAKE IT WORK. THERE WAS NO FRONT GLASS WHEN WE FOUND THIS PIECE SO WE HAD A VERY THIN ONE MADE TO MATCH THE OTHER ORIGINAL THIN GLASS PANELS. IT MEASURES 55″ TALL AND 23 1/2″ WIDE AND 22 1/2 DEEP.
