1916 was first exhibited by her parents at the age of three as the world’s only living half girl. In later interviews she remembers her entire career in the sideshow fondly. She quips that she had as much fun figuring out the audience as they did her. 1912 toured as a giant. The two fell in love and were married in 1936. They were considered circus royalty and both influential in the establishment of Gibsonton Florida as a performers’ retirement town. Photographed w/ great respect & sensitivity with rich tones. 5 x 7 identified #11 & dated July 27, 1940 in the margin. This image appears unpublished but was obviously the work of a very skillful photographer.
