ANTIQUE AUTOMATON WINDOW STORE DISPLAY / CIRCUS DISPLAY SEAL NOT WORKING, BROKEN. Most likely from the 1950s store window or maybe a Circus attraction. It has a cord with a switch but nothing works. It appears that both the head and ball originally moved. One of the fins is broken off but it is propped into place for the photos. Pretty large, it measures 26 to the top of the ball. The drum measures approximately 13″ in diameter and the seal measures approximately 24×20″. Total weight around 10 pounds. RARE! AUTOMATON Circus CLOWN Vintage / Antique German Papier Mache SHOP DISPLAY

German Early 20th Century Clown Automaton. This is a wonderful rare and fully working German automaton clown. Probably originally used as a shop window display, the clown is made of papier mache and must date to the early part of the 20th Century. Wonderful workings inside, when switched on the right arm moves up and down and the head nods, which triggers the glass eyes to move on the counter weight. Wonderful piece of vintage shop display – the work has german inscriptions written on the clowns belly. Whilst fully working in its current state we would request it was re-wired professionaly for safety reasons. The clown measures 25″ tall x 19″ wide. The clothing appears original if a little grubby. Antique Bisque CIRCUS DOLL Clown Automaton , Key Wind… Marked R 2/0 A…. About 15 inches tall , nice shape except her cloths are faded, use to be blue and red, can see the original color in the folds in clothing. Bisque head looks good no nicks cracks etc. Couple of chips on her fingers left hand (photo) minor. The base is wooden as are her shoes. When wound she rocks back and forth, the spring seems sluggish maybe needs to be wound a little mor. Rare Antique German Platform Pull Toy Circus Teddy Bear Mechanical Automaton

What a great toy… This bear measures 6 tall and is in nice working order. Made in Germany before the turn of the last century. When you pull the toy the fly wheel under the bear turns the turnstile and makes the bear rotate in circles. Molded composition body covered in mohair… Glass eyes and pin jointed arm. Here comes a great set of antique French MIGAULT acrobats clowns , automaton toy. A set is with two clowns. With straight body, composition head , working wind-up motor. Size : 11.5 (29,5 cm). With folded legs, composition head. Size : 9.5 (24 cm). There is always only one mechanical clown. Clowns have c oomposition heads. With fabric covered metal bodies.
